Super plant which is unfortunately not hardy in my part of the world (must give it another go). As consolation I grow the C. betacea which has the benefit of growing much faster, with big leaves and several metres of growth per season. It's strictly a greenhouse plant in winter.

This was cut back to the ground by the winter a couple of years ago. It was a single stemmed plant, but after being cut back it has grown back with lots of shoots from the base. I prefer this look now. Its also fairly easy to take cuttings from.
